Getting to New Orleans

By Air
Louis Armstrong International Airport is located in Kenner, 11 miles northwest of downtown New Orleans. Several airlines offer non-stop service to New Orleans from major cities. Please check with your travel agent or directly with the airlines for specific flight information.

Arriving/Departing Flights: The Airport has a real-time Flight Information Display System linked to their web site with up-to-the minute arrival/departure information. Click here to access the system.

By Train
New Orleans Union Station is served by three scheduled Amtrak intercity passenger trains. The City of New Orleans travels more than 900 miles between Chicago and New Orleans. From the Big Apple to the Big Easy, the Crescent offers convenient daily trips between New York City and New Orleans. Amtrak's Sunset Limited takes you between Louisiana and California, along our southern-most route. Settle back and watch the Bayou Country, Mexican border, southwestern deserts and California mountains pass by your window.

By Bus
With over 3700 locations in North America, you can get to New Orleans on Greyhound Bus lines from practically anywhere. You can book a trip here on Greyhound via their website at www.greyhound.com or by phone at (800) 229-9424 or (800) 531-5332 (en Espanol). Note: Advance purchase is not available to customers outside the U.S. Do not call the local terminal to order tickets in advance.
